Sächsische Staatsbäder GmbH, a company owned by the free-state of Saxony, unites both mud and mineral spas of Bad Elster and Bad Brambach.
It was founded in 1991, following a spa tradition of more than 160 years,and thanks to its medical-therapeutical expertise it has become an integral part of the health tourism in Saxony/Vogtland.  Since its inception, a number of actions have been implemented in order to restore, modernise and newly construct the infrastructure.
Sächsische Staatsbäder GmbH comprises the following fields of business:

1. Health, convalescence and prevention

• Treatments with the natural remedies moor mud, healing waters and radon
• A wide range of physiotherapy treatments
• Outpatient reconvalescence stays, individual spa stays, special spa stays, spa packages for health weeks and classic spa breaks
• Preventive offers – financially supported by health insurances
• Modern, light-flooded pool and sauna area with heated indoor and outdoor pools
• Medical training and physiotherapy centre with state-of-the-art equipment
• Care and treatment in all fields by highly qualified and trained medical and therapeutical staff

2. Natural remedies

• Sächsische Staatsbäder GmbH is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the natural remedies moor mud and healing water/radon water both in Bad Elster and Bad Brambach. 
• In Bad Elster moor mud is used for baths and packs / healing water is used for drinking treatments and baths.  
• In Bad Brambach radon dissolved in healing water is used as natural remedy for baths and drinking treatments

3. Well-being

• Both in the most wonderful atmosphere of the historic Albert Bad in Bad Elster as well as in the state-of-the-art therapy and spa centre in Bad Brambach,  Sächsische Staatsbäder GmbH offers a wide range of relaxation programs for body and soul, e.g. massages, baths, ayurveda, cosmetic treatments...

4. Historic spa gardens

• Operating and maintaining the historic spa gardens in Bad Elster and Bad Brambach, both designed in the style of English landscape parks and under preservation order 
• In Bad Elster, approximately 30 hectares of historic spa garden are run and maintained by the Sächsische Staatsbäder GmbH
• The historic spa garden in Bad Brambach comprises about 40 hectares

5. Culture

• Chursächsische Veranstaltungsgesellschaft (CVG), a subsidiary of Sächsische Staatsbäder GmbH is responsible for organising a sophisticated and diverse cultural program in Bad Elster and Bad Brambach
• For this purpose, CVG markets state-of-the-art equipped event sites of Sächsische Staatsbäder GmbH, such as the King Albert Bad, the Royal Convalescence House, KunstWandelhalle incl. Saxon Baths museum and the music bandstands in Bad Elster as well as the festival hall in Bad Brambach.

6. Property management

• Maintaining and running the precious buildings under preservation order such as the historic King Albert Bad, the Royal Convalescence House, the “Marienquelle”, the “KunstWandelhalle” with the spring temples and the bandstands in Bad Elster as well as the festival hall in Bad Brambach
• Leasing and marketing of business properties such as the Bath Café, the “Waldschlösschen” and the colonnades at the Spa Square in Bad Elster, the colonnade café in Bad Brambach and several residential properties
